Avena sativa
Cats love greens. I have a tough time keeping mine off my houseplants, but having a pot of cat grass around gives my cats their own plant to chew on and they keep their teeth off my plants.
I keep a couple pots of cat grass growing in the greenhouse to bring into the house for my feline friends. Cat grass is easy to grow. Sow it thickly in the pot. It requires moderate water and a sunny window. Luckily, a sunny window is where cats like to be, too! Classification: Annual Days to Germination: 7 to 14 days Planting Depth: 1/4 inch
