Rosmarinus officinalis Rosemary grows into a very woody shrub and is native to the Mediterranean. Both fresh and dried leaves are used in cooking. The foliage is very aromatic and the shrub blooms repeatedly.

Sow: Heavily due to poor germination rate.
Germination Time: 14-21 days, may take longer. Although difficult to propagate from seed, it is not impossible. Seed viability is very low, so make sure to obtain your seed from a good source that offers a high germination rate. Also, germination occurs in full sun and cooler temperatures, around sixty degrees Fahrenheit. An easier method of propagation is with cuttings. Rosemary is also very sensitive to moisture. Prefers full sun. Will grow in alkaline soil, prefers rocky or sandy soil. Soil must drain well as rosemary is easy to over water. Hardy in zones 7 to 10. Drought and heat tolerant.
