As July begins, the battle against the thrips is over. Thank goodness! I have put up sticky cards around the greenhouse to monitor if they come back and also to keep the white fly population in check. Growth with the plants has been tremendous! I feel like I'm fighting my way through a jungle when I'm tending plants which is quite fine by me. |  | |

This month, the big greenhouse battle has been with thrips. Oh, these little guys nearly drove me to insecticidal genocide! But the problem now looks like it is under control. I lost my beans and the cucumbers and melons sustained heavy damage. The tomatoes were also attacked, but only the older lower leaves. With some creative pruning, hopefully the plants will be fine. The funny part is all my trees were left unscathed, which I am not complaining! |  | |

The project this May is to better arrange the greenhouse space! This month's lesson is better planning of growing space. As things are right now in the greenhouse, I've run out of room for plants. Too much space is being taken up on the back wall is currently being taken up on the back wall from storage and as well all know, the greenhouse is to grow plants, not to store stuff. |  | |
