Chronicles of my greenhouse and gardens in the desert Southwest.
With the greenhouse quiet for the summer, I've still been busy with the vegetable garden outside.
Squash bugs hit my backyard garden again this year, and hit it hard. The pumpkin patch and all of the zucchini plants are destroyed.
The bare root weeping plum tree I purchased a couple months ago never broke dormancy, so it had to be taken out and returned. In it's place, an avocado tree!
The new greenhouse has been operational for a few short months and it is time to close it down for the warmer months.
It's the second year having ice plant in the landscape and it is blooming like crazy.
The first strawberry of the season is almost ready to pick.
The orange tree is just beginning to bloom. It is covered in flower buds that are starting to open.
